CONTRAFLO-branded dewatering and slurry pumps, built in-house and available to buy or rent. The bundling scheme puts pump, HDPE pipe, fittings, and installation under one accountability — no vendors pointing at each other when something goes wrong in the field.
A technical study on site before anything is implemented: pump system requirements, pipework layout, and terrain conditions. What comes out is an integrated mine dewatering system — sump to main pump to booster to discharge point — not a unit standing on its own.
We don't stop at the equipment. Our team comes in as the contractor: mining sludge handling, sedimentation, drying out working areas, and recovering settling pond capacity through geotube and screening dewatering.
Distribution of GF brand HDPE pipe with its fittings and accessories, complete with our own welding and installation crew. Corrosion resistant, high pressure rated, and built for extreme conditions — suited to water, sludge, and tailings lines across a mine site.
Our Most Requested Scheme
Renting a pump from one vendor and buying pipe from another is the most expensive way to delay a job. The CONTRAFLO bundling scheme puts the pump unit, GF HDPE pipe, fittings, welding, installation, and commissioning into one contract — one number you call at 2 a.m. when the pit starts filling.
The CONTRAFLO Line
Four sizes, two drivers. Ductile iron outer casing, high chrome inner casing and impeller, hardened stainless steel shaft sleeve. Rated for slurry up to 1.3 SG across a pH range of 2–14.
Standard equipment on diesel units: vacuum assist priming with venturi · 400 mm WF commercial steel skid · fuel tank approx. 1,500 litres · roof canopy, radiator guard, lifting lug, tow bar · 4 m × 8″ rubber suction hose with hot dip galvanized strainer and mechanical winch · 6″ HDPE discharge with check valve and butterfly valve · low pressure automatic shut down, 2 × 6 kg fire extinguisher, battery isolator.

Retrofit & Conversion
Before buying a new unit, run the numbers on a retrofit. A CONTRAFLO pump head can be rebuilt, and a diesel driver can be converted to an electric motor once grid power reaches your site — without replacing the whole system.
Driver conversion. The diesel engine is replaced with a CMG IP 66 motor, panel, and starter. Fuel and engine maintenance costs drop, the noise goes away, and running hours are no longer tied to the fuel truck.
Pump head overhaul. Replacement of inner casing, impeller, stuffing box, shaft sleeve, and bearings — performance returns to the design point without buying a new unit.
Duty point adjustment. Pits grow, heads change. We adjust impeller diameter, transmission ratio, and series or parallel configuration to the mine as it is today.
Integrated Mine Dewatering Systems
One pump is rarely enough. What we engineer is the chain: lift from the sump, booster staging to climb the elevation, an HDPE line with its friction losses calculated, and solids handled at the end of the system.
Sludge is pumped into the geotube, water passes out through the permeable geotextile, solids stay behind. The result is a drier cake, less sludge volume, and a lower disposal bill.
Pit water levels rise and fall, and the unit has to follow. We design pontoon platforms, skids, and mounting structures to suit the site — complete with assembly drawings, railings, lifting gantry, and suction routing.
